The short answer
A garden trampoline must be dismantled before transport, because an assembled frame will not fit any van and cannot be moved safely. Dismantled, the frame sections, springs, mat and net pack into a large van. PORTR prices collection and delivery online.
Why must a trampoline be dismantled?
An assembled trampoline is a rigid circle two to four metres across. There is no van in normal service with an opening that shape, and no safe way to secure it if there were.
Dismantling also protects the parts. A frame ring under strap tension distorts, and a stretched mat left assembled takes a set it does not fully recover from.
How should you dismantle and pack it?
Take the net and poles off first, then unhook the springs using a spring tool, then separate the frame sections. Photograph the assembly before you start if you intend to rebuild it, because the leg-to-ring order is easy to forget.
Tie frame sections into bundles so they cannot roll around, and bag every spring and bolt. Fold the mat with the springs removed rather than around them.
How is trampoline delivery priced?
From the vehicle the bundled parts require, the real road distance, the handling time and the access at both ends. A dismantled trampoline is bulky but light, so it is usually a single-person load.
