The short answer
Weekend collection and delivery is available subject to driver availability in your area. Saturday is more widely covered than Sunday. The quote flow only offers dates and time windows that can genuinely be serviced, so whatever you can select is bookable.
Why is weekend capacity tighter?
Demand concentrates. Most people can be at both addresses on a Saturday, so the same finite number of drivers is asked to cover a much larger share of the week's bookings across two days.
End-of-month weekends are tighter still, because tenancy start and end dates cluster there. If your dates are movable, a mid-month weekday is both easier to book and usually cheaper.
What should you check before booking a weekend slot?
Whether the other end can receive at the weekend. Storage facilities, salerooms, business premises and retail collection points frequently have reduced weekend hours or none at all.
Parking and access restrictions, which differ at weekends in many towns. A loading bay that is available on a Tuesday may be occupied by a market on a Saturday.
What if the weekend is fully booked?
Choose another available customer-selected date, up to three calendar months ahead, if the weekend is not essential. The quote flow only offers dates and timings it can service.
For genuinely fixed deadlines, book as early as possible rather than hoping for a late slot. The quote flow will not offer a date we cannot service, so an unavailable Saturday is genuinely unavailable rather than a pricing tactic.
